Admissions/FA Assistant

Summary of Position: Student workers play a key role in the success of each admission cycle by assisting admission counselors and support staff with general operations and special projects in the Office of Admission and Financial Aid.   

Responsibilities:  Main duties include clerical tasks (e.g. data entry, filing, and mass mailing preparation), assisting with special event organization and set-up, providing general information about the College to members of the public in person, over the phone, and by email, and guiding campus tours. Student workers are on the front line of communication with prospective students and their families and may be asked to share stories about their experiences at Antioch College with others. They may perform other tasks to aid the general day-to-day operations of the Office as assigned.

Physical requirements needed to perform the duties of this position:  

  • Able to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to focus on computer tasks for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds

Environmental Considerations:  
Exposure to heat, cold, and variable weather conditions during campus tours
Exposure to occasional cold in the office (due to unreliable heating system)
