Front Desk Attendant - Wellness Center

The position will be reposted every quarter.  Number of positions available depends on hours of operation.

 

POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Front Desk Attendants are the first line of contact for Wellness Center members. Front desk attendants will provide superior customer service while assisting guests and members with class and programming information, membership questions, and merchandise and snack bar purchases. Must have a thorough understanding of facility policies and be able to convey and implement while maintaining poise. Front desk attendants are expected to have a thorough knowledge of membership and programming structure. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES) OF THE POSITION:

  • Answer and direct incoming calls; log and report messages as needed
  • Answer guest/member questions regarding memberships and programming
  • Greet everyone who comes in the front door
  • Check in members and verify membership 
  • Register prospective members and channel them to the supervisor on duty
  • Sell and keep snack bar supplies stocked
  • Notify supervisor on duty of payments, cancellations and freezes
  • Handle checkout of equipment
  • Clean and organize equipment and needed
  • Routine checks and cleaning of Fitness Center equipment
  • Maintain basic level of cleanliness and organization at desk, lobby, and snack bar areas; communicate with Property Management Staff as needed about cleaning and supplies
  • Keep front desk supplies stocked at all times 
  • Additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor on duty.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • First Aid and CPR certifications preferred (if not currently certified Wellness Center will facilitate training opportunities)
  • Reception Experience Preferred
