Donna Porter is an RYT and 2011 graduate of Yoga Springs Studio. Her yoga journey started in 2000 searching for alternatives to medication and surgery for her hip and back pain. She was seeing a chiropractor regularly and took a yoga class at a rec center. A friend introduced her to Monica and the Yoga Springs Studio eight years ago. This is when the physical healing began and a spark of interest originated to learn more. Donna studied under Monica for several years and was able to complete the teacher training program in 2011. Donna has a medical background consisting of BSN from BGSU and 23 years as a critical care nurse. Yoga not only alleviated her pain but fulfilled her caregiving soul. It also helped her to be physically stronger in order to manage the workload of the ICU. She realized that taking care of herself helped her be a healthier and happier nurse.
