: welcome to glen helen nature preserve :
Glen Helen is the legacy of Hugh Taylor Birch, who, in 1929, donated the wooded glen to Antioch College in memory of his daughter, Helen. The preserve now encompasses 1000 acres accessible from a 25-mile network of footpaths. Today Antioch College, through the Glen Helen Ecology Institute, works to preserve the mission of the Glen by Protecting the Glen for Present and Future generations.
