Scholarships:
Each year we seek funding for scholarships for campers in need to attend Ecocamp. Please read the following then call the Outdoor Education Center to inquire about avalability.
- Ecocamperships will award 50% of the cost of any daycamp or overnight camp to families with financial need. Financial need will be based on the family's gross annual income and the number of people in their household. Only one child per household per year may apply for the Ecocampership.
- The parent or guardian must submit a written request to Glen Helen Outdoor Education Center about why they would like to send their child to Ecocamp. Please include your annual combined income and the number of people in your household in the letter. Please also submit a copy of your most recent tax return. Additionally, the child must submit in writing why they want to attend Ecocamp (pictures are also accepted).
- We will begin to accept application packets March 29 and accept them through April 29. Decisions about awarding the scholarships will be made April 30. Contacts about whether or not your child was awarded will be made shortly after this date.
- Each request will be considered by a committee of the Glen Helen Outdoor Education Center staff. Decisions will be made based upon financial need, and interest in our mission of environmental education.
