Documentation of Live Video Stream
On Friday, September 4, 2009 the final documents establishing a fully independent Antioch College were signed by representatives of the College and Antioch University on the College's campus located in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Over a year in the making, the agreement transferred the historic College campus and other assets from the University to the College. Both the agreement and the ceremony were moderated by Great Lakes College Association President Richard Detweiler.
Guest speakers in order of appearance were: Antioch College Professor Emeritus, Al Denman (Invocation); Yellow Springs Village Council President, Judith Hempfling; Antioch University Chancellor, Tullisse (Toni) Murdock; Antioch College Interim President, Matthew Derr ’89; Antioch University Board Chair, Arthur Zucker '55; Antioch College Board Chair, Lee Morgan '66. The Benediction was given by Professor Denman. Approximately 900 people witnessed the live event online and in person.
