8:45 a.m. Alumni Association Board of Directors Retreat (Closed to Public)

The Alumni Association Board of Directors will spend the day in retreat with support from Potomac Consulting as members prepare for the next phase of the board’s development and contribution to Antioch College.

6:30 p.m. Founder’s Day Celebration – Goodman Amphitheater (Public Invited) Antioch College was founded in Marion, New York by the Christian Connexion, now the United Church of Christ, in 1850; it was incorporated in 1852 in the State of Ohio and opened for classes in the fall of 1853 with 8 students. Tonight we informally celebrate our founders.

Horace Mann, first president of Antioch College, was an abolitionist and educational visionary. He was father of Antioch College and of the American public school. We celebrate his role in leading the College and for providing generations of Antiochians with the ethical direction to win victories for humanity.
