Passive House Revolution Documentary Screening

Thursday, May 22, 2014 - 7:00pm

Dear Antioch Community Members,

The film Passive House Revolution provides hope for the future of the planet and our children as it chronicles a revolutionary development in the way we construct and renovate our buildings, a development that reduces heating and cooling energy use by 80 to 90 percent. Antioch College’s Global Seminar on Energy is screening this remarkable documentary by local filmmakers Faith Morgan and Eric Johnson, May 22, at 7pm at Glen Helen.

“Cutting carbon emissions and fossil fuel dependency will require not just more solar panels, but a dramatic reduction in wasted energy. Passive house offers practical ways to reduce energy consumption in buildings by up to 90 percent. Everyone who cares about our climate and energy future needs to understand the principles clearly outlined in this timely, informative, and hopeful film.” Richard Heinberg, Senior Fellow, Post Carbon Institute.
