Friday Forum

There will be a Friday Forum held on Friday, November 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Coretta Scott King Center.

Antioch College students who attended the annual Students of Color Leadership Conference at Denison University, organized by the Great Lakes Colleges Association, will share what they learned at the conference followed by a discussion of how what they learned might be able to help our work at Antioch College.

Hosted by the Diversity Committee and the Coretta Scott King Center.

"Tossed & Found" Closing Reception

The community is invited to a closing event for Tossed and Found, the current exhibition at the Herndon Gallery, in South Hall on the Antioch College campus. The event will take place on Friday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m. andwill feature a dialog between Curtis Goldstein and Doug Calisch, the featured artists in Tossed and Found who work with scavenged and discarded materials in radically different ways. Calisch searches for old tools, architectural elements, scientific illustrations, and natural artifacts in abandoned buildings and junk stores. Goldstein explores post-consumer waste streams for objects “stripped of glamour, mystique, and marketing strategies.”

National Bronze Sculpture Symposium: Bronze Pour

Saturday, October 26 
6:00 p.m. at the Foundry site next to the Sculpture Annex
There will be a live bronze pour of four sculptures, with a performance by Soul Fire Tribe and West African Drumming

Limited seating for bronze pour, please bring blankets or chairs. Ceramic shells of the artists’ first sculptures return for casting. Entertainment by Soul Fire Tribe and more!

Antioch College will act as one of the participating sites screening the CREATIVE TIME SUMMIT this weekend, Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 in McGregor Hall, room #113. This year's summit is titled Art, Place and Dislocation in the 21st Century.
