William A. Peterson, 88, of Lapeer, formerly of Ann Arbor, died Sunday, April 17, 2011. He was born December 15, 1922, in Nagpar, India, son to Harold and Edna (Wildman) Peterson. William proudly served his country, in the U.S. Navy, during WWII. He married Constance Scott on September 24, 1949 in Bolivar County, Mississippi. Mr. Peterson was a proud graduate of Westtown School in Westchester, Pennsylvania and a graduate of Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Peterson worked as an electrical and a mechanical engineer for Park Davis, Warner Lambert, Searle and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, working for Park Davis over 30 years. Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, Constance Peterson of Lapeer; daughter, Susan Peterson of Waterford; grandson, Ryan Peterson of Michigan; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Edna Peterson; sister, Frances; and brother, Richard.
