Grace E. Hall Johnson of Selma, age 88 was promoted to glory and went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on September 11, 1924 to the late Charles W. Hall and Jenny J. Hall in Cedarville, Ohio. In addition to her parents Grace is preceded in death by her husband Edward Johnson; four children, Charles (Eddie), Harold, Michael and Mary, three sisters Lula Mae, Juanita and Estella (Chubby) and one brother Charles (Buddy). She is survived by one sister Reva Douglas (Bobby) of Yellow Springs, and six children: Joan Rhea (Larry) of Texas, Raymond Johnson (Deb) of Tennessee, June Taylor (Mike) of Huber Heights, Juanita Booker (Charles) of Wooster, Carol Furman (Charles) of Huber Heights, and Connie Wells of Springfield, 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was retired from Antioch and was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Cedarville for many years. Grace was loved by all and will be deeply missed by numerous friends and family. Visitation will be Monday August 12, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Porter- Qualls-Dunlap Funeral Home 823 South Yellow Springs St. Springfield, Oh with OES services at 7 PM. Celebration of life service will be Tuesday August 13, 2013 with visitation at 11 AM until time of service 12 noon at Greater Grace Temple in Springfield, Ohio with Bishop Ronald Logan officiating. Burial will follow at Clifton Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Porter-Qualls-Dunlap Funeral Home.
