Marc Kelly of Fort McCoy, FL passed away on March 4, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He was 64 years old. Born in Greenwich, CT, he earned a Bachelors Degree from Antioch College and a Masters Degree from Columbia University. In 1979 Marc started the non-profit Corporation Greystone, Inc., the first community-based provider individuals with autism in NY State. Greystone was partially funded with a Grant from the One to One Foundation, started by Geraldo Rivera. During his 20 years as CEO, Greystone grew to serve over 300 children and adults with autism, traumatic brain injury and other disabilities across 3 counties in NY. Programs included: The Suzanne Maguire Pavilion, numerous group homes, after-school programs, In Home-Behavior Therapy, GREYCO, a lawn care service, and Greystone Farms through the generosity of HITS, (Horses in the Sun), and Mr Tom Struzzieri. Marc was on the Board of Directors of Watson Industries, in Pittsburgh, PA for 20 years. In 1991, Marc helped launch the Autism Directory Service, Inc, a non-profit networking organization for families and individuals living with autism, and served on the Board for 5 years. In 2000, he became the managing Director of DeNoon and Co, LLC, a commercial real estate venture in, FL. Marc was a member of the Carriage Assoc. of America, and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. He is survived by his partner, Dawayne Wade Smith; sister; Corrine Kelley Wagner; nieces, Helen Wagner and Elizabeth Gilmartin; nephews, Drew Wagner and Benjamin Gilmartin and wife Denise Ng Gilmartin; great nieces Alexis and Tess Gilmartin, and brothers-in -law, Robert Wagner, Peter Gilmartin; loyal pets; and many dear friends.
