MANCHESTER, NH -- Ruthanne Raulerson, 86, a resident of Courville at Manchester for the past three years and a former longtime resident of Bedford, died peacefully Jan. 19, 2011, after a long illness.
She was the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth J. Artley and grew up in Monroe, Mich. She was a graduate of Antioch College in Ithaca, N.Y. She moved to New Hampshire and worked for WMUR-TV as a copywriter in the 1950s.
She raised a family in Bedford in the '60s and '70s and retired after a successful career as a Realtor. Her most recent venture was Ruthanne Raulerson Realty.
She will be remembered for her fashionable ensembles, donning a different hat with each one. She was known for her style and grace. She was a deacon at Bedford Presbyterian Church and toured the world with the Currier Gallery of Art in the 1980s.
Family members include sister Edna Margaret Howard; two children, John Raulerson and Rebecca Hillis; and four grandchildren.
