:: Mandatory co-op check-in tonight

Susan Eklund Leen, dean and professor of cooperative education, will meet with students at 7 p.m. tonight to talk about their first days at on their co-ops. She will have important information regarding the work portfolio for spring term as well as some tips for how to survive 35+ hours a week on the job. She will also be asking for preliminary fall/winter sequence preferences. Come with questions, reflections, anecdotes, and observations.

:: Upcoming deadlines for students

Science and Pre-Calculus: If you intend to take Pre-Calculus in the summer or fall term or are interested in declaring yourself a science major, please send written notification to Jaton Brame, academic administrator, by Friday, April 13.

Study–Work Sequence: Please make an appointment with your academic advisor and with Susan Eklund-Leen, dean and professor of cooperative education, to discuss your options and preferences for fall and winter work–study sequence. You must declare your final decision by June 29, the last day of spring term.

:: ADP benefit enrollment notifications

Many of you have probably received an e-mail or letter at home from ADP regarding enrollment for benefits for the coming year. As the College continues to research new options, you are advised to sign up for ADP as you normally would. If the College ends up with a new carrier, the timing would be very similar. If you have any questions, please contact Tom Brookey, chief operating officer, at 937-319-6161 or tbrookey@antiochcollege.org.

:: The Farm needs your help!

Have an old baby pool lying around gathering dust? The Antioch Farm would love to turn it into a miniature duck pond! Additionally, the farm is looking for donations of newspapers (non-glossy) and large cardboard boxes (non-glossy, non-colored). If you have any of these to donate, get in touch with Kat Christen at farm@antiochcollege.org.

:: Next Philosophers’ Roundtable guest announced

The Philosophers Roundtable will host Antioch University’s Joe Cronin on Friday, May 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. in McGregor 147. Cronin, a professor of philosophy at Antioch University Midwest, will lead the discussion on “The Nature of Nature.”
